How long have you worked at Scott Pallets? 18 months.
How would you explain your job to people outside of the company? I buy and sell 2nd hand pallets in bulk.
How did you get into your role? I knew I wanted a BDM role in a national provider, and felt Scott Pallets was a great fit.
Walk us through a typical day at work: My day starts with looking at my emails and getting on the urgent ones before going into the office. Phone calls, emails and area research. Existing customer visits or new business prospecting out and about.
What was your first paying job? Pot wash at Quinns Restaurant in Bowness on Windermere at 14 years old.
What do you like to do outside of work? I enjoy 5-a-side football twice a week, going to the gym, watching movies, reading and spending time with my children.
Do you have any pets? My middle daughter has a hamster, but I leave it to her!
Are you a sports fan? Who are your favourite teams? I have followed Man Utd (sometimes happily, but lately not so much) since I was 10, even though my dad was a Liverpool fan.
Where do you see yourself progressing within Scott Pallets/and or wider group businesses? I see myself progressing further into business development in the company nationally.
